Community Youth Engagement Program
Important Information
The Community Youth Engagement Program (CYEP) is a complimentary service for clients who are already accessing other Joondalup Youth Support Services programs.
The programs aim is to give each client the opportunity to access positive, recreational and group activities in their communities, that they would otherwise not have access to, due to their personal and social issues.
In conjunction with these activities and events the young people learn and carry out photography whilst in the community, through the provision and support of cameras from 'The Camera Recycle Project'.
Overall it is intended that through the activities young people will be:
- Inspired to recognise and achieve their full potential
- Inspired and encouraged to engage with the government and community in a manner that enables them to develop skills and connections within their communities
- Develop the promotion of positive perceptions of young people and assist their active participation in the community as respected citizens.
