Youth Matters

Important Information

Youth Matters is a program for young people aged 14-21 years who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Young people signed to this program will be allocated a youth worker who will assist the young person to address the social and personal issues in their lives that prevent them from accessing education, training and/or employment.

Youth workers are flexible and able to meet young people either at the Joondalup office, or at a place that is convenient to them in order to support them achieve their goals. Young people will be assisted to develop life skills, job skills and to arrange work experience and further education, training or employment.

Community Support

Youth Matters currently receives support from the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations as well as atWork Australia.

JYSS is currently seeking support within Youth Matters to assist young people purchase items that will assist them gain employment such as training courses, work specific clothing, and documentation and driving lessons.
